AESA was established in 1948 in Argentina and is specialized in engineering, construction, manufacturing, and services to the oil, gas and petrochemical sectors. Since then, we have worked with the most prominent companies in the region providing them with excellence in solutions. AESA is a company founded by engineers devoted to excellence. It has grown into this new century with important achievements that remain relevant today, advancing the development of smart solutions. Being part of YPF SA, Argentina’s largest oil company, allow us to have a different positioning from our competitors because of the combination of businesses we are involved. Even though we are part of YPF, we are treated just like any other supplier within the industry, participating in the tender process. In some cases, YPF chooses us as default EPC company due to the strategic significance of the project, in others we partake in the normal tender process for a project of YPF.

 

We are present in all regions with a wide array of services offered across the country through our operational bases in Mendoza, Neuquén, Santa Cruz and more. We have the local knowledge necessary to operate successfully in each offering value added services to our clients. Our company today has the flexibility to adapt itself to every project of our customers and customer, achieving the synergy through the horizontal integration of all the areas and business units. We are constantly looking at other options of developing our business offering and we will continue to do so in the future.

We are working towards our international expansion to the region. We have already worked in projects in Bolivia, Peru, Uruguay and believe that we are competitive in the international markets. In Argentina, we would like to position ourselves in Vaca Muerta as we think it has the potential not only to reverse Argentina’s conventional production declines but also to satisfy its growing domestic energy demand and to help reduce its dependence on imports.

 

We are also interested in participating in other opportunities in the energy sector, including nuclear, thermal and renewables. These are very demanding sector and we believe we can be competitive as all our operations in Argentina and internationally follow the highest international standards of health, quality, environment, and safety. We are also compliant with the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. AESA is a company of modern management. We develop new ideas and new solutions for our clients and ourselves on a constant basis. AESA HAS FOUR BUSINESS LINES OPERATING IN ENGINEERING, MANUFACTURING, CONSTRUCTION AND SERVICES. HOW ARE YOU ADAPTING TO THE IMPROVING MARKET CONDITIONS IN ARGENTINA?

 

I would say that one of the most distinguishing characteristics of our company is that we complement our EPC offering with our own manufacturing, which is highly unusual in the industry. Our industrial plant for the manufacturing of equipment and process modules is located in Canning, in Buenos Aires province, and has the best cutting-edge technology in this industry.

 

Our engineering activity is based on three cornerstones offering the synergy and soundness needed for a cross-functional team-work: knowledge, cutting-edge tools and the effective management of all the design processes. The experience gained over six decades working in engineering projects for the energy industry, understanding the rules and regulations of the different countries in which AESA operates, make us a key partner for our customers to see their projects finalized according to their needs.

 

During our long history, we haveperformed industrial works for the main companies in the energy sector. Today we have become one of the main contractors for high-magnitude projects in Argentina and the region for upstream, downstream, chemistry and mining projects.
