HISTORY AND DESIGN IN THE HEART OF DOURO VALLEY
QUINTA DA CÔRTE After less than two hours drive from Porto, guests will be greeted by the most magnificent views of the rambling hills of the Douro Valley. Guests will check-in at The Casa dating from the 19th century and tastefully renovated and decorated by world-renowned French interior designer Pierre Yovanovitch under the vision of the owner Mr. Philippe Austruy. They hand-picked traditional materials, artisanal earthenware tiles, schist and solid wood combined with modern touches of design, designer rugs, tailor-made furnitures by Yovanovitch and art pieces such as paintings, lithographs and pastels giving a feeling of a luxury home. The Casa offers a central kitchen, a library and a reception area as well as four rooms, the other four are in the annex building and all of them count with precious views of the valley. All rooms are available for booking separately but also the entire property is available for families wishing some privacy or special events upon request.
One of the highlights of the property is the breakfast and gastronomic experience. A snack menu is offered throughout the day and upon request guests can also have dinner, the chef creates a daily menu with locally sourced products paying a tribute to the regional gastronomy but also different flavours and smells such as home-made jams, olive oil produced in the Quinta and toasted almond bread.
