Construction & Real Estate I Interview I The Investor Turkmenistan

AJAYYP BINA HAS EMERGED AS A KEY PLAYER IN TURKMENISTAN’S ECONOMIC GROWTH, CONTRIBUTING TO VARIOUS SECTORS, INCLUDING CONSTRUCTION, AGRICULTURE, AND TEXTILE PRODUCTION. WITH A COMMITMENT TO INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY, THE COMPANY IS DRIVING FORWARD AMBITIOUS PROJECTS THAT STRENGTHEN NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND EXPAND INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS.
AJAYYP BINA HAS BECOME A KEY PLAYER IN TURKMENISTAN’S ECONOMY. WHAT ARE THE COMPANY’S STRATEGIC PRIORITIES FOR THE COMING YEARS?
Thanks to the visionary leadership of Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the comprehensive reforms of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan’s economy continues to demonstrate stable growth. The country has established a strong support system for the private sector, offering low tariffs on gas, electricity, and water—among the most affordable in the world. Private businesses benefit from tax exemptions on profits, as well as long-term, free access to agricultural land. Additionally, VAT exemptions for private entrepreneurs foster small business growth and enhance competitiveness, while government-backed agricultural loans at just 1% annual interest provide essential support for the agriculture sector. These measures have contributed to the creation of a dynamic, competitive, and innovative economy.
AJAYYP BINA is a multi-industry enterprise founded in 2006, employing over 1,500 people. Our activities span into construction, agriculture, cotton and textile production, logistics, and technical services. Our key areas of development include expanding the construction sector by producing polyethylene pipes and implementing our own construction projects. In the textile industry, we are working to establish a full production cycle, from cotton cultivation to fabric and finished product manufacturing.
Additionally, we are investing in advanced agricultural technologies such as modern irrigation systems, precision farming, and sustainable production, while also actively attracting international investors, particularly in the textile and agricultural industries.
In the near future, we will launch a new cotton spinning mill with a production capacity of 14,000 tons of yarn annually, primarily for export. This project will incorporate state-of-the-art equipment from leading German manufacturers TRÜTZSCHLER and SAURER. We invite foreign investors to collaborate, ensuring transparency and high-level project management.
TURKMENISTAN IS ACTIVELY DEVELOPING ITS INFRASTRUCTURE AND CONSTRUCTION SECTORS. HOW IS AJAYYP BINA CONTRIBUTING TO THIS PROCESS, AND WHAT INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITIES DO YOU SEE?
We actively participate in large-scale projects across urban development, industrial facilities, and logistics infrastructure, playing a key role in shaping the future of these sectors. Our expertise extends to the design and implementation of innovative solutions that drive efficiency, sustainability, and economic growth. By integrating cutting-edge technologies and best practices, we are committed to enhancing the built environment and creating long-term value for communities and businesses alike.
Key investment opportunities in this sector include smart city initiatives that leverage IoT and artificial intelligence to improve urban living standards, eco-friendly construction technologies that prioritize energy efficiency and sustainability, and the development of logistics centers that connect agricultural and industrial regions to international trade networks. Through these strategic projects, AJAYYP BINA actively contributes to the modernization of Turkmenistan, fostering economic resilience and strengthening its position in the global market.
HOW DOES AJAYYP BINA CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR? WHAT ARE YOUR GROWTH AND INVESTMENT PLANS IN THIS INDUSTRY?
AJAYYP BINA manages 6,433 hectares of agricultural land, with 3,200 hectares actively cultivated. Our initiatives focus on enhancing productivity and sustainability through innovative agricultural practices. We are testing new high-yield cotton varieties to identify the most productive strains, while also implementing advanced drip irrigation systems in collaboration with Netafim. This approach significantly reduces water consumption while increasing yields. Additionally, we are developing essential infrastructure, including 15 kilometers of internal roads, 25 kilometers of irrigation canals, and 5 kilometers of power lines. To support our workforce, we have also established a modern camp for agricultural workers.
Looking ahead, we plan to expand into fruit crop cultivation and vineyard development using drip irrigation technology. A key part of our strategy includes the creation of a 20-hectare greenhouse complex focused on export-oriented production. Furthermore, we are constructing a 5-hectare cold storage facility alongside a dedicated base for drying and storing grains, ensuring efficiency and sustainability in our agricultural supply chain.
IS AJAYYP BINA PLANNING TO EXPAND BEYOND TURKMENISTAN? WHICH REGIONS AND SECTORS ARE OF INTEREST?
Yes, we are actively working on expanding into international markets and strengthening our global partnerships. Our current collaborations reflect our commitment to excellence and innovation in various sectors. We have established strong partnerships with leading American companies, including John Deere and Case, enhancing our capabilities in agriculture and machinery. Additionally, our group of companies serves as an official dealer for the Japanese company SUMITOMO and the Greek company CYCLON, further broadening our portfolio and expertise in industrial solutions. These collaborations allow us to integrate advanced technologies and best practices, positioning us as a reliable partner in key industries.
Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans to expand our presence in global markets. One of our primary objectives is to increase textile exports to Europe and Central Asia, leveraging our high-quality production and competitive advantage. We are also preparing to participate in international tenders for major construction projects. Furthermore, we are actively seeking investors for joint projects, with a particular focus on the textile industry, where we see significant opportunities for growth and innovation.
WITH THE GROWING FOCUS ON SUSTAINABILITY, WHAT ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES IS AJAYYP BINA IMPLEMENTING?
Sustainable development is a top priority for us, and we are committed to integrating environmentally friendly technologies into our operations. Our approach focuses on reducing environmental impact while enhancing efficiency and productivity across various sectors.
In construction, we are adopting energy-efficient technologies that significantly reduce the carbon footprint of our projects. By implementing innovative materials and design strategies, we ensure sustainability without compromising quality or durability. In agriculture, we have partnered with Netafim to introduce advanced drip irrigation systems, optimizing water and fertilizer use while minimizing waste. To further support ecological balance, we employ biological plant protection methods, including breeding beneficial insects (entomophages) as a natural way to combat pests. Additionally, we are transitioning to biohumus and organic fertilizers, enhancing soil fertility while eliminating the risks associated with chemical exposure.
To further strengthen our commitment to sustainability, we are incorporating IoT and artificial intelligence-based monitoring systems in agricultural production. These technologies allow for real-time tracking, predictive analytics, and precision farming, reducing waste and ensuring compliance with international environmental standards. Through these strategic initiatives, we aim to contribute to a greener future while maintaining efficiency and competitiveness in our industries.
